Acne and pimples are both painful and embarrassing. Nearly everyone suffers from acne at some point in their lives. Normally, acne occurs during the teenage years. Acne can be tiring especially for teens and this can cause them to sink into depression. Acne is frustrating especially if you breakout before an important event. What is more frustrating is, not knowing the cause of your breakout.

As a regular sufferer of acne right from my teens, I have used various creams and lotions and tried various home-remedies. Trying to get rid of acne can be frustrating especially if you want instant results. As soon as you pop a zit, another one starts popping out in its place and pretty soon you notice that you are breaking out. Believe me; I know how frustrating that can be!

Using natural acne treatments is sometimes a great way to get rid of acne. However, they do not always give instant results. If you are an impatient person like me, natural acne treatments are not even an option. Over the years I have come across and used different anti-acne products. Some have worked well while some have only further aggravated my skin. In this article, I would like to share about a few of the anti-acne products that I have used and found to be effective. Hopefully, this will help you get rid of your acne, but, if you have a very severe case of acne, I recommend seeing a Dermatologist first, to learn how to get rid of acne.

The first product is the AcneFree severe acne treatment system. This is a very effective product especially if you are suffering from severe forms of acne. It has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and Retinol. Not only does this product attack the three stages of severe acne formation, it also prevents new outbreaks. I have used AcneFree severe acne treatment system and found it very satisfactory.

Another recommendable product, based on excellent reviews, is Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Therapy System. It consists of Skin polishing acne cleanser, sun shield day lotion and overnight acne control lotion. Each product works in a different way but together, provides a complete system for clear skin. The skin polishing acne cleanser has salicylic acid and micro-fine beads for exfoliating your skin gently. This treats and prevents acne. The sun shield day lotion with SPF15 and DermaNaturals helps in calming your skin and promotes a healthier looking skin. The overnight acne control lotion contains Benzoyl peroxide to eradicate the bacteria and lessen acne inflammation and prevent future acne breakouts.

The final product on my list of favorite anti-acne products is Salicylic acid 20% gel peel, there is also the Glycolic acid 35% gel peel that I have read works well but have not tried it myself. This product was recommended by my sister who also suffers from consistent acne breakouts. She was fighting a losing battle with acne when she started to search online for something that had great reviews. She ran across Skin Laboratories Glycolic acid 35% gel peel and decided to give it a try. Since using it. Her skin is clearer and smoother but her acne scars and pores have also diminished. Her acne breakouts have also reduced greatly. This gel peel has also helped in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Finally, one of my favorite skin care products is the “Aztec Secrets Indian Healing Clay”. Provided that I do not have as much of an acne problem as I used to, I still have some issues with blackheads and those dreaded ugly pores. This clay mask has done wonders in both blackhead treatment as well as cleansing and tightening of the pores. Mixed with apple cider vinegar it creates a smooth like paste in which you apply to your face to form a mask which is left on for about fifteen-twenty minutes. You can really feel it working as it tightens, and when removed, your skin feels very soft as well as pores are much smaller and fine lines feel much smoother. Mix with a good Apple Cider Vinegar for best results.

There are many anti-acne products available on the market today and I have shared a couple that have worked well for me, one for my sister, and the others based on excellent customer reviews.  I am not making any promises that they will work as well for you, as we are all different. Fair enough? OK. The few that I have listed above have been well-received. However, before you use any anti-acne products, I advise you to consult your dermatologist first, if you are suffering from severe acne.
